Hi, I’m Elena đź‘‹
Welcome to My Kind of Dinner — the place where my passion for simple meals, creative twists, and cozy vibes comes to life.
I wasn’t always a recipe writer. My love for food started in a tiny kitchen with my grandmother in southern Europe, where the smell of cinnamon and roasted peppers always meant something delicious was about to happen. Years later, after juggling a busy life and craving more balance, I found comfort again in the act of cooking — and sharing.

A little about me…
I’m Elena — part-time foodie, full-time life juggler. I’ve never had formal training, just a lot of messes, experiments, and magical dishes that came together by feel. For me, cooking is about comfort and creativity, not perfection.
My everyday meals are made with fresh, colorful ingredients — not fancy ones. I love transforming whatever’s in the fridge into something nourishing and beautiful. With a soft spot for Mediterranean flavors and warm spices, I believe every dish has a story.
This blog grew from journal scribbles and kitchen experiments into a place where I share what really works in real life: meals that are quick but soulful, satisfying but not complicated. My recipes are built for busy days, slow weekends, and every craving in between.
How It All Began
Years ago, I started posting my lunch ideas on a private Instagram for friends. I didn’t expect it to become a full blog — but here we are! Today, My Kind of Dinner is my creative space, my digital kitchen, and a way to connect with people who, like me, just want food that feels good.
